Block of the Month 2013- Summer Blessings

Summer Blessings block of the month starts May 17th. It will be held at Shared Space Studio in Pentwater from 6pm-8pm on the (mostly) the third Friday of the month. The class is $15 a month and includes the kit. We will be learning different applique and piecing techniques. Newer quilter's are very welcome.

I'm asking for participants to bring scraps and fat quarters from thier own stashes to share. Prizes and discounts to all those who bring fabrics to share. We need reds, navy blues and yellows. The more shared fabric we have the more diverse and unique your quilt will be.

I am also thinking about making lessons available on the blog.

Mystery Quilt Class #4- Seaside Delights

It is that time again for a new Mystery class. This time two of the color ways are focused on the seaside. One has great reds and blues and the other color way is kind of kooky and fun with a crab shack theme. Our third offering is a bit girlie,warm yellows, almost cranberry pinks and a tawny browns. The quilt will be twin size. You can make it bigger by adding some great borders.

The class will be held at Shared Space Studio on Saturday June 22nd from 9am-6pm. Kits are $85.00. Fabrics for binding, borders and backing will be available for purchase at the class. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

 

Mystery Class #3- "Christmas Mystery"

Here comes my third mystery class, "Christmas  Mystery". This mystery class has three different christmas fabric kits. As always the pattern will be revealed as we sew away. The class is on Saturday, September 29th from 9am-5pm. Lunch and snacks will be served. There will be prizes and lots of fun.

This class has two size options: 68" x 92" or 51" x 69". Class prices are $85.00 and $105.00 respectively. These prices include the class fee and kit. Borders, backing and binding may be purchased separately at class.

"Beginners" Quilting Class - August 16th & 17th, 2012

I will be teaching a two day class covering the basics of quilting on August 16-17th at Shared Space Studio in Pentwater.

In the class we will go over the cutting out of patterns, different sewing techniques, and other quilting tricks. I will have the various tools used in making quilt tops and we will go through their uses.

This class is for beginners or for anyone that wants to come learn about making quilt tops.

The class is $60 and I will have a 42"x60" quilt kit for $40. Or bring your own fabric kit with you.

Mystery Quilt Class #2-The Mysterious Garden

My second Mystery class is Saturday June 2nd from 9am to 5pm. The pattern is a great mystery pattern from Debbie Caffrey. This quilt will be 63" x 78 1/4". I choose this pattern because it is great for beginner's and experts alike. 

Join me at Shared Space Studio for a day of sewing, games, and a great quilt. All you need is your sewing machine and some basic quilting tools.

Lunch and snacks are provided.

This mystery's fabric is garden inspired. The three different kits are below. "Garden of Delights", "Feather-n-Stitch" and "Coquette".

The class and kit together is $100. The kit includes all materials needed for the top and basic 6" border. Extra fabric will be available for purchase at the class.
